BERLIN · a collaborative festival of Making, centering around MAKERPLATZ (FKA Moritzplatz), will take place on 30th september and 1st october. the goal is to unite, highlight, and catalyse the BERLIN MAKER COMMUNITY with a festival of making, collaboration and co-production.

MAKERPLATZ is a celebration of rather serendipitous occurances of a Maker infrastructure in the Moritzplatz area. Over the last few years, various Maker organizations (Etsy LabsIMA Design VillagePrinzessinengarten, schœner.wærs.wenns.schœner.wærBetahausOpen Design City & Planet Modulor) have all cropped up with a short radius around the Mortizplatz roundabout.
MORITZPLATZ has now evolved into MAKERPLATZ, a maker hub. Planet Modulor will make an official opening party the same weekend as the People in Beta festival. both want to do something involving makers so MakerLab MAKERPLATZ will occur concurrently in BetahausOpen Design CityPlanet ModulorEtsy Labs & more
