BERLIN · The 4th Fotofestival Mannheim Heidelberg Ludwigshafen “The Eye is a Lonely Hunter” ended 6.11.2011 and after receiving an impressive response from audiences, media and artists.

It received more than 37.000 visitors during the two months of its duration and a positive and broad art critical response in the German media.

In February 2012, the Fotofestival curators Katerina Gregos and Solvej Ovesen, in collaboration with the Fotofestival, and the Grimmuseum team will present a selection from the 4th edition of the Fotofestival in the Grimmuseum, Berlin, Kreuzberg.

The exhibition will include photographic works by Paolo Woods (Netherlands, 1971), Jacob Holdt (Denmark, 1947), Said Atabekov (Uzbekistan, 1965), Philippe Chancel (France, 1959), Boniface Mwangi (Kenya, 1985), Fouad Elkoury (France/Lebanon, 1952), Barbara Metselaar Berthold (Germany, 1951), Plamen Bonchev (Bulgaria, 1980) and Sofia Burchardi (Denmark, 1981), and Hasan and Husein Essop (South Africa, 1985). All these works were produced especially for the Fotofestival.
