BERLIN · Gebrüder Teichmann are curating the opening night of this year's WORLDTRONICS Festival at Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin! the WORLDTRONICS Festival a is showcase of global technology-produced or influenced music.

as they are completely crazy about the new electronic music genre called Skweee from Scandinavia, it was a must to present it in Berlin. Besides 6 Skweee acts Gebrüder Teichmann have also invited Patrick Pulsinger + Dabrye.

over four festival evenings, WORLDTRONICS 2011 presents a cross-section of the Scandinavian Skweee scene and an overview of the distantly related 8-bit music, contrasted with representatives of the latest developments from Ghana and Colombia. The program is rounded off with the conference Postcolonial Piracy, which explores global cultural practices of “piracy” and deals with them in the context of aesthetics, originality and authorship.
