soomi park is a multimedia artist living and working in seoul. most of her artworks derive from her curiosity for new types of emotional design. her artworks utilize the increasing banalization of plastic surgery in many countries around the world, including korea. the inspiration for such designs arises from online and offline features that show the dialogue between the human, the world and the connection between them. soomi’s artworks have been acclaimed by international pundits. her “led eyelash” won a honorary mention under the section of interactive art at prix ars electronica 2008.
