The term 'algorave' was coined by Alex McLean of Slub and Nick Collins, and the first event of this kind was held back in 2012, spreading quickly throughout the world. Nevertheless, the community in Mexico City has been just starting to get together since about two years ago.
In this context, and that of the Dual Year Mexico Germany, Karen Del Valle and Diego Acevedo got in touch with The Global Creative Alliance looking for a place for an Algorave session, once they have tight connections with the coders scenes overseas and wanted to interact with them coding through the virtual parallelism; having our space as the central base. It all ended up in a massive Algoreven (taking 'reven' from a Chilango slang derivation for rave). The result was a wild night full of energy with afterparties or little algoraves all over the centre of the city.The line-up looked like this, worthy to take a look...
