BERLIN · PLATOON member Tank Thunderbird #5940 is a part of the winning team at the first Photo Hack Day in Berlin. they have developed the application Phudge, which takes your photo and mashes it up with someone else's. it also has ever-changing live color filters - you can snap your photo when you like its colors.

Photo Hack Day in Berlin brought together the most innovative developers and designers to hack the future of photography. eight teams were rapidly prototyping and building new projects and then presented the finished products on sunday afternoon.

among eight products Phudge won the first prize. the winning team will now make a weekend trip to London, including an exclusive appointment at the AKQA headquarters to showcase their hack.

as Elin Aram, one of the winning team members, explained on her blog, Phudge is a nicer way to say "fuck"… what probably one says when developing photos in a dark room and finds out, that his photo is double exposed with another photo.

EyeEm was the main organizer of the first Photo Hack Day in Berlin. the same event also took place last week in New York.
