yesterday night we projected an eye out of our containers. this was a tribute to the PLATOON NETWORK created by artist Guillame Guerin #5460. we really appreciate his gesture!
EYE-NOW is a visual echo of what our attention skills can be in reaction to a new cult, the cult of the Instant.
Guillaume Guérin defines his works as a reaction to "the industrialisation of the non-look", as a will to re-find an eroded reflex, the Discernment. Through his first works, Guillaume had expressed the image strenght and potential to re-define a possible reality. Then, he concentrated his works on denouncing the secular symbols re-formating operated by the mass media (Rewind). Guillaume is convinced today that the image has killed the symbol it contains. he uses now abstractions to support his message and proposes the observer to search in himself the hidden symbol.
