Garden of Unity is a cultural platform coming into life every year, bringing together a wide selection of artists, filmmakers, thinkers and visionaries from around the world - all of it, framed under the beautiful skies of Seoul.
In 2020, we initiated “Garden of Unity” to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the German Reunification. As we organized various art and culture programs around the theme of “Unity” in central Seoul, it evolved to become a celebration of the broader means of unity beyond just the German Unity ceremony.

The vision of Garden of Unity is to celebrate diverse forms of art and culture across the borders and bring people together in the time of pandemic when the world is divided either voluntarily or involuntarily. We pose questions like “What does unity mean to you?” and present slogans such as “United for the Environment” “United Against Borders” and “United for Social Justice”.

These are shared issues that the world is facing and with the help of digital technologies, we aim to reach out to and create a global community to stand together and take action. And what better ways to unite people than through music, art screening, movies, and talks?

HYBRID CONCEPT

Garden of Unity is a cultural platform coming into life every year, bringing together a wide selection of artists, filmmakers, thinkers and visionaries from around the world.

On our open rooftop space in the center of Seoul City, we offer to the local art and creator’s scene a150-meter-long white fence, which serve as a canvas for street artist, painter, graffiti artist or anybody who would like to see his or her painting or drawing on the wall.

From our digital studio, we invite a large variety of digital art content to be screened on one big scale LED wall. This ranges from movies, documentaries, video art and live stream DJ sets, interviews, and artist talks. We also present legendary artworks in digital form via NFT’s (Non-Fungible Tokens), blockchains and virtual realities.
