BERLIN · last night, not really knowing what to expect, we went to the first ever berlinian FUTURE CINEMA screening. FUTURE CINEMA is an off-spring of SECRET CINEMA - a perfomance that reenacts movies before actually showing them, originating in the UK.

following clues and instructions, about 150 people, dressed in white, gathered at a specific location in the freezing cold. first came the officers dressed in blue, then the astronauts, then a massive smoke blow-out out of a hidden tunnel - then we descended into the dark.

approx. 50 briefed extras directed us from one scene to the next and within minutes it became clear, that we had entered the nostromo - Alien territory.

through a set-up of hand-made control pannels, intricate labyrinths; through projections and past LED-walls we went looking for jonzey, the cat, walked through alien slime and witnessed as Kane got squirted with alien sperm and lay on the ground in spasms.

then after 2 hours of performance, the movie started!
amazing job you guys! we had a great time!

all respect to the actors and extras on the scene, especially the one whose head had to lie in a puddle of white paint for hours at the very end. we're looking forward to the next one!
