on 13.th and 14.th of november, Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung und Helle Panke e.V. will present a conference at volksbühne berlin.
the title will be „ÜberLeben in den »Creative Industries“ (about living and surviving in the Creative Industies).
subjects will be the replacement, the conversion and the economic integration of unadapted creativity in creative cities.

the whole issue is sparking debate about one of the most misrepresented topics within the discussion about creative industries, namely the precarious working conditions and insecure income for those engaged in it.

creatives are constantly under pressure to conform to the market and to contribute to the ongoing gentrification of the city, which is basically replacing berlin´s "creative scene" with something closer to a "creative class", which seems to be just another name for a new bourgeoisie, pulling down those who dont manage to keep their heads above water.
